Methodology
Two SQN readings.
Nine states.
SQN (System Quality Number) measures return-to-volatility ratio over a window. Positive = upward drift; magnitude = drift strength.
Every weekday at close, we run two SQNs. Fast SQN(20) captures the last four weeks. Slow SQN(100) captures the last five months.
Nine states combine fast + slow SQN positions, slope, and divergence crossings. A crisis override kicks in when VIX spikes above 30 inside a bearish state.
